Paul Phoenix

Paul Phoenix, Tenor, Vocal and Performance Coach: Boy Chorister in the Choir of St. Paul's Cathedral, London (Ivor Novello Award Burgon's 'Nunc Dimittis' 1980, and a gold disc for a solo recording). Graduated in 1991 from The Royal Northern College of Music. 1991–1997 singing and coaching throughout Europe. Appointed to The King's Singers in 1997. Performing more than 120 concerts annually, Paul Phoenix has sung in many of the world's greatest concert halls. Double Grammy award-winning artist 2009 ("Simple Gifts") and 2012 ("Light and Gold"). 2013 voted into the Gramophone Hall of Fame. 2014 'retired' from The King's Singers, founded the international consultancy Purple Vocals. Sings as a guest soloist – the last few months singing in several countries in Europe, the USA, Colombia and China.
